20 January Anniversary of the fire and collapse of the Plasco building

The Plasco building incident was a national catastrophe due to the deterioration and unsafe electrical wiring, the presence of numerous capsules of liquefied petroleum gas and flammable liquids, and the accumulation of clothes in the corridors and floors of the building.

On the morning of Thursday, january 21, 2016, the eighth and ninth floors of this building caught fire, and at 7:59 a.m., the Tehran Fire Department received a report of the incident.

Shortly after the fire broke out, the building collapsed while a number of Tehran firefighters and civilians were still on board. They became unemployed.
